home grown green beans
garden to table
fresh- home grown veggies don’t need too much preparation, they taste delicious strait from the garden. this year we planted a ton of green beans and have been munching them for months. last night i made a simple side of green beans with almonds.
to make these simple beans i lightly tossed them with olive oil and quickly braised them (or steam them) until al dente. i then tossed them with some roasted slivered almonds and some sea salt. then serve them up!

the other day we went out to rebecca’s homestead and spent the day taking pictures and sharing ideas. at the end of the day we feasted on some fresh veggies, homemade bread, and a cobbler.
