we are off on creative adventures this week so we are taking a tiny break…. we will still be posting some daily beauty for you to enjoy.

changing light
instant inspiration
fall is officially here, and temps are cooler. no excuse now not to get outside and OBSERVE! i eagerly look for signs of leaves changing color, sunlight coming at a different angle, leaf shapes on the ground under my feet, all are inspiring. find your nearest park or woods and hit the trail. time to appreciate the changing of the seasons!
cotton blossom time
in the country
i collected some cotton seeds in south georgia last november, and planted a row next to the vegetable garden. the cotton is head high, and the blossoms are lovely. it’s a great ornamental plant.
the blooms open white, then turn dark pink by the end of the day.next, the petals fall off and the boll starts to form. i plan to do some cotton plates when the fluffy cotton balls appear in late autumn.
