artful collections: llubav’s house

homes and habitats

plates in kitchen

designer, and Southerner (by way of virginia, and peru!), llubav duerr lives in greenpoint, brooklyn with her family. on a visit to her home this autumn, we were inspired by her artfully displayed collections. we found ourselves walking through her home as if we were in a gallery, taking in the displays and the curated objects. her creative presentation transforms the objects (skeleton keys, tea cups, milkglass vessels) into works of art.

her studio nook, where she makes her lovely felt goods, contains a large glass-fronted cabinet that holds so many tiny colorful treasures that you get lost looking at them.

the tiny beads and baubles end up on her creations mostly, but some remain in the cabinet, residing there as inspiration.
