easter lunch under the trees

in the country

the daffodils put on a show for easter.  we set up a long table under the cedar grove, and served up a southern feast:  ham, sweet potatoes, slaw, collard greens, black eyed peas, cornbread, sweet tea, and lemon cake.  we enjoyed each others company and the yummy food, while a spring breeze swayed the branches overhead.

They vast amount of daffodils you have is stunning and enviable. The arrival of them at the end of winter always makes me so happy. I can’t imagine how I would feel with that many. And the picnic! It is all so lovely.
