wild onion quiche
garden to table
yesterday could not have been any more perfect; good company, pleasant temps, and not a cloud in the sky. we went out for a big hike with rebecca and mr. green jeans on their land. they had a forest full of wild onions i harvested a few handfuls. all of the way home i contemplated what to make with them.
we decided to saute the onions and make a quiche. it was simple and fulfilling after a day full of sun and hiking.

shack idea
instant inspiration
i know i’m not the only one who loves shacks. i love mine. i saw this old house at the jarrell plantation. one room was added on at the back, and it looked like it’d make the cutest idea shack. when i looked inside there, i knew i could be happy all day long there. maybe you can build yourself one like this.
cromer’s mill covered bridge
homes and habitats
i have always been fascinated with old bridges. it amazes how they were built with so little technology and fasteners and made to carry so much weight. we found this one on a recent drive, it was built in 1845, before to the civil war.
there are several that still stand around our area, i will visit and share soon.
