carrot pecan cake
garden to table
i love it when birthdays come around, it gives me a chance to bake cakes. i recently made some carrot cake cupcakes that were inspired by some local baby carrots…this recipe…and a birthday. i had some leftover batter so i poured it into a bread pan and made a rustic cake. both were just as delicious!
enjoy! it is a great fall comfort cake.

elberton county fair
homes and habitats
i am a huge fan the elberton county fair. the signage throughout is dated but amazing! it makes you feel like you have stepped back in time.
i also love the 4H section where they have canned goods, taxidermy, and sell tupperware. three things that i never thought i would see together.

i am heading there tonight and i am thinking about having a funnel cake, boiled peanuts, and kettle corn for supper!
