chocolate chess pie

happy valentines day!
need a last minute decadent pie? this one is about as easy as they come, and trust me there will be no complaints. i made some modifications to my standard chocolate chess pie recipe. i browned the butter and used dark brown sugar instead of light and i loved the way it turned out.
recipe
1 pie crust
3/4 cup browned butter, see here to make it
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
3/4 cups sugar
3/4 cups dark brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 flour
3 eggs
directions
-preheat oven to 350 degrees
-brown the butter
-mix all of the ingredients except the browned butter
-pour the hot brown butter over the mixed ingredients
-stir until mixed
-pour into pie crust and bake in oven for 45 minutes
-enjoy with some whipped cream!

in the country
when you drive down a country road in the south, you’re gonna see some old fallen down weathered shacks. most are 100 years old or more, their history long gone, but at one time a family lived there, working a piece of land and ever hopeful of prosperity.not any clues are left about the lives lived there, but it’s fun to look and wonder.
