ice cream in the smokies

garden to table

June 13th, 2011

we just returned from a weekend in the smokies.  on the way home we stopped at  a little creamery right off of 441- right before you hit the georgia state line.  it made the 95 degrees somewhat bearable.

now that peach and berry season is approaching i sense some ice cream making in the near future.

goats on the roof

homes and habitats

June 8th, 2011

lately, we have been going up north to for some day trips to fish and relax in the river.  we pass this roadside attraction and i really love it so much.  head north on 441 and keep your eyes peeled for the huge billboard that says GOATS.  you can stop by and feed the goats.
