mississippi fog

over the holidays, i visited some family in coastal mississippi. there was a dense layer of fog over the beach and the harbor for almost the entire trip that made for the most wonderful moody landscape.

now that school is out everyone seems to be heading to the beach.  it reminded me of a series of photos  i took last year of a trip we took to the panhandle in florida.  we awoke to a heavy fog that lasted the entire day, it was magical!

there is one amazing field in athens that has the most beautiful fog. before the sun comes up, there is a thick blanket of fog over the landscape that slowly dissipates and turns into glowing sunlight.

foggy country drive

a few weeks ago, i went on a little roadtrip, to the south. setting out in early morning meant that i was passing through the fog for most of my drive, and it was so pretty. i stopped a few times to take photographs, and then, of course, i had to stop by one of our favorite houses, the mason house, too, because it was right on the way...then i crossed a lake twice and got the almost all white photos below...
