we discovered these dried leaves and displayed them for a recent field trip sale. they look beautiful just taped to the wall with some washi tape from treehouse. at over 20" in length, they would be equally beautiful in a wreath or on a mantel.

we just harvested the last of the lemons from the trees in our garden...we have grouped them in clusters on our table along with the last of our persimmons. they are pretty like this, on their own. some images from this series appeared here.

flower guild
a final post on anna belle's wedding flowers: we have a group of friends who have all done flowers for each others' weddings...over the last ten years we have gathered together and brought buckets of ingredients from friends' farms, the side of the road, and our own gardens. it is a great way to help a friend get married, to help with the flowers. not only are the flowers beautiful, it is also a great way to spend time together before the big day.

building an arrangement
more from anna belle's wedding...this is a simple arrangement, made from things gathered. it ended up the mantel next to a portrait of anna belle's grandmother.

flora medallion
rebecca's oldest child, anna belle, married recently at the brickhouse. more beautiful images will trickle forth, but, for now, enjoy this one of the floral medallion that we made for her. this medallion hung at my wedding- rebecca made it for me then, and filled it wih dahlias from the dahlia farm. for anna belle, we all pitched in and filled it with flowers from many different friends' farms. we are so lucky to know these wonderful growers, and to know each other.
