my folks are visiting from wisconsin so i thought it would be fun to take them on a pecan harvesting adventure....really show them some southern culture!

has a wonderful old house in the country that faces a giant pecan grove. she let us come out and harvest some of her pecans.
we then took them by north georgia pecan co. to get them shelled. the company has been cracking pecans for 24 years. you can read more about them

i will be picking up my cracked pecans, just in time for our thanksgiving feast.
