the other day we had a little lunch and inspiration session out at rebecca's new place. i spent all morning in the kitchen cooking up some dishes that were inspired by ingredients i picked up at the farmers market. i love bibb lettuce, it is buttery and it is so beautiful. so i couldn't pass that one up! i also couldn't pass up some green garlic.... something that i love to eat raw.
i gathered some other veggies to add and got some buttermilk from our local dairy. and this delicious salad was born.
enjoy! recipe follows
1/2 cup buttermilk
3 Tbsp duke's mayonnaise
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp honey
3 Tbsp (or more) green garlic
mix all of the ingredients together and salt and pepper to taste.
for the salad i used bibb lettuce, carrots, and some toasted pecans. rebecca added some rose petals for color.
