this is one of our favorite snack foods at our house. it is simple to make and is a great way to trick anyone into eating their greens. i also like to sprinkle on top of salads for a little crunch.

ingredients
kale, i love to use tuscan, aka dinosaur kale but any kale will do
olive oil
salt
directions
-pre- heat oven to 300 degrees
-remove the stem from the kale
-cut into 1 inch pieces
-put in a bowl and lightly toss with olive oil trying to coat each piece
-salt to taste
-it is easiest if you cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper but not necessary
-spread a layer of kale on the cookie sheet. if there is a lot of kale, divide into 2 pans
-place in oven and cook for about 15 minutes, checking often so that the kale does not burn
-your kale chips are done when they are all uniformly crispy
