i became friends with amanda kapousouz when we were both pregnant with our first children...more than 6 years ago now...amanda has *many* talents and they are all on display in her new studio space. she can easily shift from her sewing projects to making her homemade cleaners to her bow repair in this bright, open space. the little pops of color that are sprinkled throughout add to the cheery vibe and make you want to look everything over, so as to not miss a morsel. on the day of my visit, amanda was repairing some bows and rehairing them. it was a treat for me to watch her work, as i have never witnessed a bow rehairing! and, most fun of all, is the fact that amanda sometimes uses bright pink or blue horsehair on her bows…i know some sweet violin players around town who stand out when they play because of amanda's colorful handiwork…and, i also love the keychains she makes from the horsehair too! thanks, amanda, for letting me come visit!
