my friend katie bush wrote this book "1206 third street". it is an illustrated biography about two folk artists who live in safety harbor, florida. this book has been a favorite of my daughter's ever since i read it to her 2 years ago. with that being said, safety harbor has been on our list of places to visit.
on a recent trip to florida, we coordinated a visit to kiara linda and todd's 'whimseyland'. they welcomed us with open arms and spent the day with us. it was a real treat to see their art collections and art environments in person and see the art and music culture that they have helped facilitate in safety harbor.
thank you kiara linda and todd for welcoming us. if you ever have a chance to visit 1206 third street, it is worth a special trip. thanks katie for writing such an inspiring book!
