this is a summer staple around our house. we have 3 big plants of basil growing in our garden so we can make this often. it also freezes well to get you through the winter months so you can never make too much.
ingredients
2 cups fresh basil
3 cloves of garlic
1/2 cup georgia pecans, toasted
1/2 cup good extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup grated juice of one lemon
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
salt
directions
-in a food processor add the basil, lemon, garlic, pecans -pulse the food processor a bit -turn processor on and slowly add the olive oil
-when ingredients are fully blended remove from food processor and stir in the cheese
-serve over warm noodles or spread on a fresh baguette
