in late june, rinne and two friends (jesslyn shields of fall line south and tabatha tucker) led a week long day camp for children out at sweet olive farm. it was part farm camp, part ecology camp, part art camp, and part play-in-the-woods camp. it was so much fun! we spent each day helping on the farm, exploring the woods and learning to be quiet observers, curious explorers and creative foragers. we had a great group of guest teachers come in and talk to us about ecology, history, art, weaving, and storytelling and by the end of the week everyone had written their own story of this special land.
