summer storms
it seems like we only have two modes of weather these days: drought or severe storms.
after nursing my new flower bed through a long, really hot spell with no rain , i'm super excited to see a storm coming! we've had a couple lately where i thought we were about to have a tornado. usually some trees and limbs blow down, but at least we get some rain!

-ladle some batter onto oiled pan
-drop some blueberries on the pancake

water gardens
last weekend we headed up to knoxville, TN for a little getaway. on the way out of town we stopped by the university botanical gardens. while the gardens were small and appeared to be a newer endeavor, we really enjoyed the water garden collection that they had. i loved the galvanized steel tubs that the water plants lived in- it is a great idea for a home garden.

evening sky
we keep having promising dark clouds roll over, sometimes even thunder, but no rain! it does make for lovely sky scapes, though.

rebecca's kitchen
the other day we spent the day out at rebecca's new house taking pictures, cooking, and catching up. we try to get together every season to celebrate the beauty and inspire one another. we could probably do about 20 posts on rebecca's new place. it is filled with so much beauty and good energy- enjoy these pics from her kitchen.
